I studied the times and the college curriculum when Christianity was created to understand what the Apostles and Fathers of the early Church were taught and were teaching the faithful in the late 1960s and early 1970s. We all believe and start with what we learned at school. 

When I retired from state mental health, I wanted my 1970s doctoral work at the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley and MA from the University of San Francisco (a Jesuit school) to survive. I completed the work 45 years after being awarded a second MA. To understand the New Testament and teachings of the Church, you need to know what the Apostles and Church Fathers were taught. 

I was one of 1960s Jesus People, a Navigator attracted to the Early Church and Russian Orthodoxy. I lived in rural areas, so attended the Episcopal Church, worked on the Church Army and with the Salvation Army. I now attend an evangelical church and a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. I have 4 kids and 9 grandkids. Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciple. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8: 31-32) . This work will show you the teachings and truth of the Gospels.
